GEORGETOWN, DE – History will be made on Thursday night at Georgetown Speedway.

The inaugural four-race Colonial Clash Championship presented by Dirt Nation kicks off in the First State on Thursday, June 2 with the Bi-Rite Auto Sales ‘First State 40’ for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series. This first-time happening for Super Late Models offers a cool $5,000 to win and $400 just to take the green flag from a purse structure totaling more than $20,000.

Aside from the individual race purse structure, a $17,000 point fund is up for grabs. The Colonial Clash gets underway at Georgetown Thursday before venturing to Potomac Speedway in Budd’s Creek, Md., Friday, Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, Va., Saturday and Winchester (Va.) Speedway on Sunday, where the champion will be crowned and top-15 in the standings will be finalized.

The ‘First State 40’ may be the most lucrative Super Late Model program in Georgetown’s long and storied past. Local competitors and invaders will hit the speedway in search of a big payday.
