DUNDEE, NY – New ownership, a new name and a new stop on the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By VP.

Dirt Modified competitor and Watkins Glen, N.Y., area businessman Tyler Siri has taken ownership of the former Black Rock Speedway in Dundee, N.Y., from Dean Hoag. Siri is set to race full-bore into the endeavor for the upcoming 2016 season. He has renamed the four-tenths-mile clay oval ‘Outlaw Speedway’ with widespread clean-up and improvements planned prior to the wave of the year’s first green flag in April.

The STSS will make its first-ever appearance at Outlaw Speedway on Tuesday, June 7 as part of the Halmar International North Region. The inaugural ‘Finger Lakes 50’ will offer $5,000 to the winner, $1,000 for 10th and $400 to take the green flag. A rain date of Wednesday, June 8 is in place.

“Tyler (Siri) has big plans for the track and we are happy to be part of his 2016 schedule,” STSS organizer Brett Deyo said. “The size, layout and racy nature of the Outlaw Speedway fits our series and its competitors well. Fans will be anxious to check out the improvements to the facility and this show will provide a midweek opportunity to be part of a new era in Dundee.”

Siri is pleased to host the STSS event and showcase Outlaw Speedway.

“We wanted to have a big event and the Short Track Super Series was our first choice,” Siri said. “This should bring in quite a field of cars to the track and give our fans something special.”

Joining the STSS Modified ‘Finger Lakes 50’ will be the GRIT Series Crate 602 Sportsman and Fight Night Street Stocks.

The Halmar International STSS North Region is now comprised of 10 stops at eight facilities: Accord (N.Y.) Speedway, Big Diamond Speedway in Minersville, Pa., I-88 Speedway in Afton, N.Y., Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, N.Y., Outlaw Speedway, Rolling Wheels Raceway Park in Elbridge, N.Y., Thunder Mountain Speedway in Center Lisle, N.Y., and Woodhull (N.Y.) Raceway.

The STSS Halmar International North Region opener takes place on Saturday, April 2 at Orange County Fair Speedway with the third ‘Hard Clay Open’ presented by United Pump & Tank. The series concludes with the traditional “Working Man’s Race” at I-88 Speedway, the ninth running of the Short Track SuperNationals.

Outlaw Speedway is located at 82 Main Street Dundee, NY 14837, just minutes north of Watkins Glen, N.Y. For up-to-date information, visit www.outlawspeedwayllc.com.
