Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints Back into Action This Friday at Albany-Saratoga

152SYRACUSE, NY –July 13, 2016- After a very successful CNY Speedweek, that stars and cars from the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS) are ready to hit the track again and this time they head east to the Albany-Saratoga Speedway.  The battle for the overall Lucas Oil ESS Championship and also the NAPA Auto Parts US Tour will see vital points earned at the 1/3rd mile oval.

YorkMont Auto Auctions from Fair Haven, Vermont is bringing ESS return to the Capital District. Jason Barney leads both point standings over six-time champion Steve Poirier.  They both will be leading the field but the list of challengers is stiff indeed.  Paul Kinney, Matt Tanner, Parker Evans, Chuck Hebing, Jeff Cook, Jonathan Preston, Shawn Donath, Danny Varin, Dave Axton, Mike Stelter, Chad Miller, Brandon Kidd, Paulie Colagiovanni, Denny Peebles and more are should be on hand for the exciting show.

094Other drivers that are expected are locals Cory Sparks, Kory Gurney, Bob Gray and Jeremiah Munson.  Also to be in the field is James Hanson, Pete Richardson, Thomas Radivoy as well as New Englanders Dan Douville, Scott Holcomb, Will Hull, Anthony Cain and Lacey Hanson

Some added sponsorships to help add to the pot has been raised with Elmo’s Speed and Supply also backing the Car Mate Trailers Heats with the 10 lap races now $100 to win.  Opitz Transmissions is also sponsoring all laps of the A-Main which will be spread out to the top 5 during the 25 lap event.

Rifenburg Companies is backing the Cobra Coaches Dash event with Lacaillade Masonry present the B-Main.  All the action will kick off with the popular Beard Sewer and Drain Timed Hot Laps.

It was a well deserved weekend off, but it’s time to go racing ESS winged super sprint style and it’s at Albany-Saratoga Speedway where the tradition of excitement guaranteed continues!!!
