Syracuse NY= March 27, 2016- New for 2016 with the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints will be special timed hot laps at each full point event. Thanks to Tim Beard and Beard Sewer and Drain, the fast time for each time group on each night will receive a cash bonus.
“The teams voted in timed hot laps and they really did it to add excitement for the fans. We would normally run hot laps and then go into our heats that were determined by a draw.” noted ESS President Chuck Miller. “Just to change it up and make it exciting we will do what most sanctions are doing. But, then we will add a twist and do a one pill invert after that. So even if you get a bad time, it actually could be to your advantage. If a high number pill gets pulled you are right up front. This is to still make teams feel welcome if they never been to a particular track or having a placed a bad time.”
While there are no points awarded for the timed groups, if you do time the fastest in the three laps there will be extra dollars waiting for you in the pay envelope.
Tim Beard has run 600 micro and 360 sprint cars, he even visited us for a weekend in Quebec running at Autodrome Granby and Le RPM Speedway. He is a friend of all racing as well as supporting many events in the New England area.

The 33rd Anniversary Season is just around the corner with the Spring Showdown Open Competition event at the Selinsgrove Speedway with a added purse offered. The battle for the 2016 Lucas Oil Championship then kicks off the next Friday at the Outlaw Speedway (Formerly Black Rock Speedway) for the first point event.
Poirier, Barney, Kinney, Tanner, Hebing, Wickham, Colagiovanni, Donath, Cook, Axton, Stelter, Evans, Miller, Peebles and a bunch more will be coming to your favorite dirt track this season. As it has become tradition, it will be excitement guaranteed!
