DIRTcar Rookie of the Year Registration Deadline Nears
WEEDSPORT, N.Y. – June 18, 2015 – Rookie drivers in all divisions need to officially file their status by July 1 to be eligible for 2015 DIRTcar Rookie of the Year honors.
Competitors are allowed no more than six prior races in their new division to qualify. To declare for Rookie of the Year status, drivers can only have moved into a higher division, dropping down is disallowed.

The 2014 DIRTcar Rookies of the Year were Kory Wilder/Big-Block Modifieds, Steve Bernier/358 Modifieds, Ryan Stabler and Brianna Ladouceur/Sportsman Modifieds and Gus Hollner/Pro Stocks.
Stabler, a regular at Cornwall Speedway in the Green For Life Environmental Services No. 77, reports that he hasn’t had any sophomore jinx issues so far in 2015.
“It’s been a good season so far,” Stabler said. “I spent a lot of time with Matt Hearn and Stewart Friesen at the Teo Chassis School and it’s helped me. I’m second in points at Cornwall.”
