Super DIRTcar Big-Blocks invade Thursday, Sept. 3, DIRTcar 358-Modifieds roll into ‘The Fast Track’ on Friday, Oct. 9, during NAPA Super DIRT Week
ELBRIDGE, N.Y. – Aug. 28, 2015 – DIRTcar Racing returns next week to Rolling Wheels Raceway Park as the Super DIRTcar Big-Block Modified Series stars will invade ‘The Fast Track’ on Thursday, Sept. 3, for the Bud Light 100. In addition, the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series will race on Friday, Oct. 9, at the 5/8-mile dirt oval just west of Syracuse during NAPA Super DIRT Week events in Central New York.
The Super DIRTcar Series championship battle will take on the Bud Light Night at the Wheels presented by Page Trucking in a $7,500-to-win and $400-to-start event. Also included will be the GRIT Sportsman Series Empire Recycling 20 paying $1,000-to-win. The gates will open on Thursday at 4 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. General admission is $20, kids 11-16 and seniors over 60 are $10, with kids 10-and-under free.
The action-packed NAPA Super DIRT Week will get bigger with the Friday, Oct. 9, points-paying DIRTcar 358-Modified Series 50-lap race paying $4,000-to-win.
“I am looking forward to these two mega events at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park,” said DIRTcar’s Jeff Hachmann. “Rolling Wheels has always been a facility with showcase events and it is great to bring the best drivers in DIRTcar back to The Fast Track.”
Matt Sheppard of Waterloo, N.Y., leads Brett “The Jet” Hearn of Sussex, N.J., in the Super DIRTcar Big-Block Modified Series championship by 102 points. Hearn won a 50-lap Big-Block Modified race in July at Rolling Wheels. Sheppard’s teammate, Jimmy Phelps, is third in the Super DIRTcar Series standings followed by 2014 series champion Billy Decker.
