DIRT-Mods-DADCENTRAL SQUARE, NY- March 3, 2016- Central New York Raceway Park (CNYRP) announced Wednesday that it is officially ending its affiliation with Rolling Wheels Raceway Park after a successful 2015 racing season.

“We want to thank the drivers, owners, sponsors, and fans for supporting us at Rolling Wheels Raceway,” said CNYRP President Glenn Donnelly. “With CNYRP construction projected to be complete this summer, we as a company have decided to focus all our efforts in continuing to make CNYRP become the crown jewel of motorsports in North America.”

Under the management team from CNYRP, the Rolling Wheels Raceway Park facility received several improvements that returned the “fast track” to national prominence. The facility improvements included a new synthetic racing surface featuring SYNDI. The SYNDI surface showed immediate promise as a potential game changer for dirt tracks across the country by creating a new world record for the fastest average speed of 145.527 mph. The record makes Rolling Wheels Raceway Park the fastest dirt track in the world.

“We are pleased with the results from SYNDI at Rolling Wheels,” said Donnelly. “With just about 50% application we not only created a better track for competition, but also a world record speed. We will continue to develop the product and believe that when it is fully applied at CNYRP, we will have a dynamite surface for the competitors and spectators.”

Also in 2015 the CNYRP Management team was able to bring Northeast modified racing back to a national TV audience through their partnership with MAVTV in broadcasting three taped delayed events from Rolling Wheels Raceway.

“We have a great management team assembled at CNYRP,” says Donnelly. “It showed at Rolling Wheels this last season on how quickly we were able to make facility improvements, gain sponsorships, and sign a national TV deal in less than a month.”

CNYRP’s dirt track construction is slated to be completed by mid summer of 2016, and several exciting events are in the planning stages — including hosting Super DIRT Week 45 this October.
