(LEHIGHTON, PA 12-17-14) The release of the 2015 season schedule at Lehighton’s Mahoning Valley Speedway is filled with a full slate of weekly racing that starts in April and doesn’t stop until October.

Race officials are very excited and confident in what they feel is an appealing line-up that both fans and racers alike will be quite satisfied with.

The Modified teams will be pleased to see that new for the upcoming season is the Central States Modified Gamblers Series (CSMGS) which is going to be rather profitable to those who take part.

It will be run under a poker game format whereas cards will be awarded to the top 13 finishers in each designated feature race. At the end of the series the top five card holders will share in a $6000 purse with $2000 going to the top hand, $1500 for second, $1000 to third, then $700 and $500 respectively.

The season opener on April 11, will be race number one in the CSMGS with a 125-lap $5000-to-win main event. The next deal will be a 100-lapper on May 9 that pays $3000 for the top spot. The series will be in action again on August 1 with twin 50s. Race three and four are worth $1800 each to the winner. The Bob “Heavy” Scherer Memorial 100 on October 3 is the fifth event in the CSMGS and first to the checkers will receive $3000.

The final race will be at OCTOBERFAST 2015 on October 17. At a race distance of 150 laps, this will be the longest feature ever run for the Modifieds at Mahoning Valley and with that the biggest payday in track history as promoter Floyd Santee is putting up $6000 to win.

With first place prize money alone and winning the overall CSMGS championship there comes some very grand appeal as it is possible for one driver to take home over $23,000 just from those six races.

The rousing Triple 25’s for the Modifieds are back in ’15. The three 25 lap features will take place on June 27 and pay $1000 to win each.

Heading into the 2015 season the Street Stocks have a special six race series as well to be known as the American Rental Street Stock Gamblers Series (ARSSGS) and will follow the same format as the CSMGS.

Monetary prizes of $800, $500, $400, $300 and $200 respectively will go to the top six in the series. The ARSSGS will take place starting with the Gene Bowers Sr., Memorial 100 on May 23 which is a $1200 to win 100-lap main. Next will be the Mike Krempasky Street Stock Memorial Triple 19s on September 5. That program will cover ARSSGS races 2-3-4. Each 19-lap feature pays $419 to win.

The Street Stock portion of OCTOBERFAST 2015 is race number 5. The contested run will be 75 laps and pay $1500 to the winner. The finale will be on October 24 with a feature length yet to be determined.

Santee will be offering the Late Models $1000 to win on a weekly basis provided 15 or more cars are on hand. Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks will each get extra distance/extra paying nights also.

The USAC All Pro SpeedSTRs where introduced to Mahoning last year and put on some excellent racing. This year they have two shows booked including a Saturday night when they will join the regular classes on April 25. Joining the card that evening will be the Slingshots. The SpeedSTRs and Slingshots get a second date on October 24 which is the final race of the year.

The XCEL 600 Mods are returning to Mahoning for the first time since 2010. June 6 and August 22 are the dates.

Also complimenting the schedule will be the popular Micro Stocks, Small Car Enduros and Car Cruises.

More information about the ARSSGS and the upcoming season at Mahoning Valley Speedway will be made available at the three day Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsports 2015 Presented by Sunoco Race Fuels Distributed by Insinger Performance Race Car and Trade Show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, January 23-25, 2015.

Mahoning Valley Speedway will also be present at the NEPA Race Car Show, February 9-15 at the Laurel Mall in West Hazleton.
