Susquehanna Event on November 5 Will Conclude 2016 Campaign

MYERSTOWN, PA -Noveber 2, 2016- A trip south to The Dirt Track at Charlotte for the World of Outlaws World Finals proved to be rewarding for the “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks; scoring a 12th place performance against the Greatest Show On Dirt after starting fifteenth on Friday, October 28. Marks, who finished just two positions shy of his sixth top-ten feature finish of the season with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, qualified for main event competition with a third place finish during his respective heat race.
Unfortunately for Marks, that level of success did not repeat itself on Saturday, October 29, during the World Finals finale; finishing seventh during the Last Chance Showdown.
“All in all, we had a fun weekend. We can’t be too disappointed about Saturday. We raced against one of the toughest fields of cars in the country during the World Finals. I’m proud of what we accomplished,” Marks said, pilot of the M&M Painting & Construction, BAPS Auto Paint & Supply, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Russell Heller Builders, KC Automotive, No. 19M. “We are always learning and constantly searching for ways to gain speed. I think we did all the right things. We’ll try to put them to work this weekend at Susquehanna.”
Brent Marks will conclude his 2016 campaign with a short trip to the Susquehanna Speedway near York Haven, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, November 5. The Myerstown, Pennsylvania, native will enter the Sprint Showdown; Central Pennsylvania’s final sprint car event of the 2016 season, awarding $5,000 to the main event winner. Marks will enter the Sprint Showdown with four victories on the season, three of which at three different facilities.
“It’s tough to think that we only have one more start left,” Marks said. “It’s definitely bitter-sweet. The year is done, but we have a lot to look forward to and a lot to prepare for. We’ll work to win our last start of the season and begin preparing for next year!”
