Big Show VII at Albany-Saratoga postponed by rain

Super DIRTcar Series event reset to August 12

MALTA, N.Y. – July 7, 2015 – The Super DIRTcar Series Big Show VII scheduled for Tuesday, July 7 at Albany-Saratoga Speedway has been postponed with rain forecast.

Big Show VII promoter/driver Brett Hearn’s $10,000-to-win event has been rescheduled for Wednesday, August 12.

“With the drizzle that’s been falling at the track all morning and the pending thunderstorms coming this afternoon we felt it was best for everyone to postpone,” Hearn said.

“We talked with (DIRTCAR NE Director) Mike Perotte and agreed upon the date of August 12th that seemed to fit well for everyone. Our biggest concern was not having the same thing happen as last year, when fans had to come twice to see the show. It was important to us to make sure the full Big Show experience happened without a hitch or weather issue,” Hearn added.

This Thursday, July 9, the Super DIRTcar Series is at Mohawk International Raceway in Hogansburg, N.Y. for the Mohawk 100.

The Big-Block Modifieds will then travel to Five Mile Point Speedway Tuesday, July 14 for the “Greatest Drivers 65” – five drivers will be added to Five Mile Point’s all-time greatest driver’s list.
