RISING STAR TYLER DIPPEL TO RACE WITH MODIFIEDS ON SATURDAY

Grandview 4-30-16-1 286 (1280x857)BECHTELSVILLE, PA – May 5, 2016 –The NASCAR stock car racing season is well underway at Grandview Speedway and the battles for the lucrative point titles are very tight. NASCAR stock car racing returns to the one-third-mile, banked clay oval on Saturday (May 7) at 7:30 p.m. T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds headline the action as the Saturday night tripleheader will also feature the BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars. At least 12 events make up the exciting night of racing.

Former champion Duane Howard leads the standings in the Modifieds by a very narrow margin over defending champion Craig VonDohren. In the Late Models Sean Merkel has a narrow lead over the challengers and Joe Funk is tops in the Sportsman division. Ten different drivers have earned feature victories this season with the season moving into the fifth week.

Grandview%204-30-16-1%20301%20(1024x685)Added to the field of Modified standouts racing on Saturday will be rising young star Tyler Dippel who will be in the #26 Searock Fabrication entry. Other visitors are also expected for the tripleheader racing action.

To celebrate Mother’s Day (May 8th) the oldest mom and youngest mom in the audience will be presented with a pair of tickets for a future regular Saturday night event at Grandview.

When spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. the weekly Low Down and Dirty Meet & Greet will feature Modified standout Tim Buckwalter along with Late Model racer Wayne Pfeil and Sportsman performer Brad Brightbill.

Admission for the Saturday night racing action is just $15 for adults while young people under 12 are admitted free. Military with proper identification are admitted free.

Coming up on Saturday night May 14th is Whelen Engineering Night featuring the Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman.

And on Sunday, May 15th, 1 p.m. Enduro and Vintage car racing will be in the spotlight.

Grandview Speedway, a one-third-mile, banked clay track, is located on Passmore Road just off Route 100 in Bechtelsville, PA, 10 miles north of Pottstown. A full assortment of great concessions and novelty items are available. Free parking on the grounds. Fans are invited to the competition area after the events are completed to meet the racers. Saturday, May 21, 7:30 p.m. T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models, Sportsman and Blast from the Past Vintage racers.

Saturday, May 28, 7:30 p.m. T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars.
