The BAPS Auto Paints and Supply 410 Sprint cars will see action at the York Haven oval on Sunday April 10, Sunday, May 8 in the Kevin Gobrecht Classic, a June date yet to be determined, Sunday July 17, Sunday August 21, Thursday September 22 and concluding with the season finale on Saturday November 5.

“We love Susquehanna Speedway and I have a great relationship with Scott Gobrecht,” said Dean Berkheimer, co-owner of the York-based BAPS. “We used to race micros with him and his family and I’ve always kept in touch with him. When I saw he bought the track I told him I wanted to be involved and asked that he touch base with me about sponsorships and so forth for the season. We’re excited to be a part of what is going on at Susquehanna and look forward to a great relationship.”

BAPS will also supply the pace vehicle for all of the 410 sprint car events. The vehicle will be the company’s uniquely wrapped Chevrolet Sonic that they use for deliveries to customers around the region.

Austin Hogue, driver of the BAPS Coating and Supplies #52 410 Sprint car is excited to make some laps on the new clay at Susquehanna.

“I am really pumped to see the changes and get a chance to try out the new racing surface,” Hogue stated. “The changes sound like it’s going to bring even better racing than before along with the updated fan accommodations. I will be running all of the events and we really hope that we can score a win in one of the races.”

Hogue continued “as a BAPS representative, getting to talk to Scott and Kolten, it was cool to meet two guys that have a vision for a track and really want to see them grow and become a top facility for dirt track racing. We are excited to partner with them in the upcoming season and hope to see the partnership and track succeed.”
