Kenny Wallace Joins Star Studded Modified Field At Albany-Saratoga

Sussex, NJ- June 1, 2016 – Brett Hearn’s Big Show came to Albany-Saratoga Speedway back in 2012 and did not disappoint. 2016 will mark the 8th effort in promotion from Hall Of Fame driver Brett Hearn and the 5th Big Show at Albany-Saratoga. With all sponsorship in place, a $10,000 payday, and NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace in house it’s safe to say Big Show 8 is one of the summer’s must see Super DIRTcar Series races.
Recovery Sports Grill has built a solid reputation as the place to be after the races. They built name recognition with race fans through promotion and support of big time racing events including Brett Hearn’s Big Show. With nine locations in New York State including Albany, Amsterdam, Colonie, Guilderland, Malta, Queensbury, Rotterdam, Troy, and Verona they have grown from a single store to a multi-state family run restaurant chain thanks to founder Don Led Duke. Recovery Sports Grill has been a marketing partner and supporting the Big Show since 2013.
Ferris Commercial Mowers has been a marketing partner since the beginning in 2009 when the very first Brett Hearn’s Big Show hit the dirt track running. Ferris designs landscaping equipment built to last through rigorous days of work. They’ve been a part of the local and national racing scene for many years showing their enthusiasm for auto racing. Many Ferris Commercial Mower dealers use the event to promote sales and they proudly support Brett Hearn’s Big Show with enthusiasm as race fans.
Cedar Peaks Enterprises is a well-respected construction company located in North Carolina servicing the Mid-Atlantic states that provides high quality general contracting services along with asphalt paving and airfield electrical and lighting projects. They began their relationship with Brett Hearn back in 2013 as sponsors of his number 20 modified and have since grown support for his promotional efforts with the Big Show as well. Cedar Peaks shares Hearn’s enthusiasm for dirt track racing making them a perfect fit for the event.
VP Racing Fuels is an industry leader in racing fuel technology. They’ve been making power since the early 1970’s when founder Steve Burns began a quest to find optimum horsepower out of racing fuels. Brett Hearn’s relationship with VP dates back to the early 90’s when he forged a relationship with Jim Kelly. VP proudly takes part in many top racing series such as the Super DIRTcar Series and further helps support quality events like Brett Hearn’s Big Show.
Brett Hearn has known Kenny Wallace since the late 1980’s when the two met while Hearn spent time racing at Daytona and other select NASCAR tracks. They have since remained friends despite following completely different career paths behind the wheel. Last year when the Big Show was rain delayed, Wallace couldn’t make it back to Malta, but this year he’s confirmed to return and ride in a specially prepared Big Block Modified. Wallace brings excitement, personality, and national exposure to Brett Hearn’s Big Show and Albany-Saratoga Speedway.
There have been seven previous Brett Hearn’s Big Show events to date. This year marks number five at the great race place. Billy Decker (2009, 2011) and Jimmy Phelps (2010, 2015) are the only repeat winners of Brett Hearn’s Big Show. Other winners include: Bobby Varin (2012), Brett Hearn (2013), and Danny Johnson (2014). Big Show VIII is scheduled for Tuesday June 28th.
