BECHTELSVILLE, PA – The annual Freedom 76 Modified stock car classic at Grandview Speedway continues to be one of the most successful short track dirt racing events in the nation. The 46th annual edition of the race, which attracts some of the best dirt track racing talent, is set for Saturday, September 10th with the winner walking off with at least $25,000.

Grandview 7-2-2016 349 (1024x685)With another huge crowd anticipated, the Rogers family, operators of the Berks County racing facility, have announced some changes that they feel will make the event more enjoyable.

•There will be no saving of parking or camping spots and the use of items to mark places in entry gate lines will not be permitted, for the Freedom 76.

•After the Friday, September 9th, event all blankets and other seat coverings must be removed from the grandstands.

•Campers will be allowed to stay on the speedway grounds starting on Saturday, September 3rd. All campers are asked to use the Turn 4 parking area.

•There will be no block parking or blocking of any driveways.

•No tarps will be allowed to lay on speedway property.

•No open fires are permitted and no wood pallet burning

•Please keep the convenience and pleasure of the other campers in mind.

•All golf carts and 4-wheelers must be shut down by 10 p.m.

Fans and racers should be aware that Freedom 76 winners during the past 25 years are invited to participate and will have to make an actual qualifying attempt or they will not be added to the field.

And management reserves the right to give any other speedway a guaranteed starting spot for the Freedom 76.

Advance tickets for the annual Freedom 76 are available at the track on Saturday night and at the September 9th events. Advance tickets are priced at $35 for adults. On race day adult tickets will be priced at $40 while youngsters 6 thru 11 pay $10 and children under 6 will be admitted for free. Pit admission is $45. No license is necessary.

For the third year in a row a Friday night event will be presented, September 9, and will feature the exciting TSRS 305 Sprints and the Sportsman stock cars. Sportsman will top off their show with a 38 lap feature. In addition Modified racers taking part in the Saturday event will be given ample practice time. Admission is $12 for adults, $5 for youngsters 6-11 and those under 6 are admitted free. Racing starts at 7 p.m. There are no advance tickets being sold and there is no rain date.

The 46th Annual Freedom 76, won last year by Craig VonDohren, will have racing action starting at 7 p.m. Advance ticketholders will be able to enter at 3 p.m. Ticket windows will open at 3:30 p.m.

Lap sponsorships are available for $20 per lap and include listing in program book and mentions on the public address system on event night.
