DOUBLE RUB RAILS ALLOWED FOR THIS RACE ONLY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA September 14, 2015 . . . Many of the best dirt track stock car racing talents are set to give the 45th Annual Freedom 76 Modified Classic another try this Saturday, September 19th at Grandview Speedway. Racing action will officially get the green at 7 p.m.

Rained out last Saturday the $25,000 to win Classic is expected to have a large field of racing talents from throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states. A number of track champions will be trying to add their name to the prestigious list of winners on Saturday on the one-third-mile, banked clay oval.

Previous winners include such standouts as Stewart Friesen, Billy Pauch, Craig VonDohren, Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Meme DeSantis, Ray Swinehart, Kenny Brightbill and a host of others.

Previous winners, within the past 25 years, are eligible for guaranteed starting spots but must an attempt to qualifying in at least one event during the night of racing.

The Saturday, September 19th event will include a full series of qualifying races, consolation events, the Pioneer Pole Buildings Cash Dash, the Don Schaeffer Motorsports Minuteman 20 and it is all topped off by the $25,000 to win Freedom 76.

Of special note to racers planning to participate in the Freedom 76 events, double rub rails will be allowed for this event only.

WAEB-790 AM radio personality and longtime NASCAR Modified racer Bobby Gunther Walsh has posted a $581 Hard Charger Award named in memory of the late Mike Bailey. TP Trailers has $250 for the Hard Luck racer. And there is lap prize money posted for the leader of many of the 76 laps.

Advance adult tickets for the Freedom 76 will be on sale from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday night at the track. Advance tickets are priced at $35.

On race day the adult tickets will be priced at $40 while youngsters 6-11 pay just $10 and children under 6 are admitted free. Those choosing to go into the pit area the cost will be $45 and no special license is required. A September 26 rain date has been announced.

Pits will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 19th with advance ticket holders admitted to the grandstands at 3 p.m. Ticket windows will be open at 3:30 p.m. with exciting racing action getting the green flag from starter Ray Kemp at 7 p.m.

Fans and racers are reminded that there is a special Freedom 76 t-shirt available along with an information filled souvenir track magazine.

All attending the event are reminded that all track policies regarding camping and parking are still in place and there will be no allowing of any objects being used to mark places in the ticket purchase and advance ticketholder lines.

Grandview Speedway is located on Passmore Road in Bechtelsville, PA, just off Route 100, 10 miles north of Pottstown.
