410 Sprint Show Cancelled at SSP on Sunday Night, October 18
Next Test & Tune on Wednesday, October 21

Newberrytown, PA (October 18, 2015) – Three rain showers after the gates opened forced the cancellation of the 410 Sprint Car and IMCA PA Sprint Show at the Susquehanna Speedway Park on Sunday night. Thirty (30) 410 Sprint Cars and twenty-four (24) IMCA PA Sprints were in attendance in the pits when the racing events were cancelled.

All 410 Sprint Drivers may use their rain checks for a free entry ($50 value) into the Final Showdown scheduled for November 14. Entry forms will be mailed out to these drivers and they will pay nothing upon return of their entry form along with the rain check. In order to receive the free entry, the entry forms must be received by Monday, November 9. Exchanges for free entry will not be received at the gate on the day of the race or after November 9 by mail.

All others in attendance with paid pit pass and paid general admission will have two options:
1) Exchange paid pit pass raincheck ($25 paid) for a pit pass at the November 14 Final Showdown race for a pit pass ($30 value). There will be no upcharge for the exchange. Paid grandstand ticket rainchecks may also be exchanged at the Final Showdown on November 14 for a ticket in the same category (Adult for Adult, etc.) with no upcharge for the exchange.

2) Return the pit pass or ticket stub for a full refund to SSP, 3805 Natalie Lane, Dover, PA 17315. Please include the name of the person that the refund goes to as well as a return address. All requests for refunds must be received on or before Monday, November 30, 2015. All rainchecks will be invalid after Tuesday, December 1 with no exceptions.

The next Wednesday night Test & Tune will be on Wednesday, October 21. The gates will open at 5:00 p.m. with practice sessions rotating for each class from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The cost is $14.00 per person for pit passes and a $20.00 fee for each racecar entering the pit area ($34.00 per car & driver combination). Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. with open track time from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. by class. Each session will be 6 – 8 laps per session. The grandstands are open and free to the public. Each class will receive 4 to 5 rounds of 6/8 laps each or more if time permits. The main concession stand will also be open throughout the night.

The final Wednesday Night Test & Tune of the season will be on October 28.

J&K Salvage Candy Bowl XI and 12th Annual Miller’s Racing Parts Fall Classic Slated for Saturday, October 31 at SSP
No Pre-Entry or Entry Fees for any Division
The J&K Salvage Candy Bowl and the 12th Annual Miller’s Racing Parts Fall Classic presented by Insinger Fuels returns to the Susquehanna Speedway Park as a one-day show on Saturday, October 31. The raindate will be Sunday, November 1, if necessary with the same time schedule. There is no entry fee for any division racing.

This action-packed event will feature the Sportsman Modifieds, Street Stocks, Xtreme Stock Cars, Road Warriors, Mini Vans, Blast from the Past Vintage Cars, ACMS Stock 600cc Micro Sprints, Legends Cars, and Sidewinder Sprints.

Before the Sportsman Modifeds feature begins, the cars and drivers in all divisions will be brought to the frontstretch for the children in costumes to trick or treat. This will also be a great opportunity for everyone to visit their favorite drivers to get pictures and autographs.

The open comp Sportsman Modified race will follow the generally accepted Sportsman Modified rules throughout local tracks in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York (no 4 bbl carbs permitted). Sail panels are permitted and the minimum weight rule will be 2,450 lbs for cars with aluminum wheels and 2,375 lbs for cars with steel wheels. The 20-lap feature will pay $1,000 to the winner and $100 to start.
As with previous years, both the Street Stocks and Xtreme Stock Cars will utilize small common set of rules along with the driver’s hometrack rules. The Street Stocks will accept rules from 19 different speedways from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and New Jersey. The Xtreme Stocks will accept rules from 17 speedways from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and New Jersey. The Road Warriors will follow that 2015 SSP rules that also allow cars to compete from other speedways. A race flyer concerning rules and purse payout is available at www.sspracing.net.

The 50-lap Street Stock feature (first 40 green & yellow laps will count with the final 10 laps being all green flag laps with no scheduled fuel stops) will pay $1,000 to the winner (No entry fee). All qualifying will be done through heats races and last chance consolation races. The top three drivers in each heat race will redraw for their feature starting spot. The remainder of the feature will be lined up according to finishing positions in the qualifying races. A blind draw will determine the heat race lineups.

The 40-lap Xtreme Stock Car feature event (first 30 green & yellow laps will count with the final 10 laps being all green flag laps with no scheduled fuel stops) will pay $500.00 to the winner (no entry fee). All qualifying will be done through heats races and last chance consolation races. The top three drivers in each heat race will redraw for their feature starting spot. A blind draw will determine the heat race lineups.
The 30-lap Road Warrior feature event (first 20 green & yellow laps will count with the final 10 laps being all green flag laps with no scheduled fuel stops) will pay $350 to the winner. All cars entered will be qualified for the feature. A blind draw will determine the starting lineup.

The Blast from the Past Vintage Cars, ACMS 600cc Stock Micro Sprints, Legends Cars, Mini Vans, Sidewinder Sprints will all follow their club/touring class rules.

Gates will open for the pit area at 11:30 a.m. and grandstand area at 12:00 p.m. Track Prep Laps begin at 1:15 p.m. with racing action beginning at 2:00 p.m.

General Admission Grandstand ticket prices for Saturday night are Adults (ages 18-59) $15.00; Young Adults (ages 11-17) & Senior Adults (60 & Older) $13.00; Children (10 & under) are free. Pit pass prices are $25.00. The minimum age requirement to purchase a pit pass is 12 years of age with a copy of a birth certificate is required for all ages 12 to 14.

The SSP Final Showdown paying $10,000-To-Win on Saturday, November 14 Brings a Close to Central PA Racing Season

On Saturday afternoon, November 14, the Susquehanna Speedway Park will host The Final Showdown for the Super (410) Sprint Cars in the Central PA area as well as the entire United States for 2015. Also included in this special program will be the popular 358 Sprint Cars. The raindate will be Sunday, November 15.
The 410 Sprint Car feature event will be 30-laps and pay the winner $10,000 if the driver is pre-entered on or before Monday, November 9. Anyone entering the event on Tuesday, November 10 or after will receive $5,000-to-win. The race will also pay $300 to start the feature. Tow money ($50.00) for non-qualifying drivers will only be paid to those who pre-entered before November 9. For the 410 Sprint Cars, mufflers WILL NOT be required. All other rules of the Central PA 410 Sprint Cars will prevail for this event including the current Central PA Hoosier tire rule. Raceivers will be mandatory.

The 410 Super Sprint Cars will qualify in time trials with the top six automatically qualifying for the 30-lap feature. The top six will be inverted for the feature and will not attempt to qualify through the heat races. The remaining cars will qualify for the 30-lapper through heat races and last chance races.

The 358 Sprint Car feature event will be 20-laps and pay the winner $2,000 if they are pre-entered on or before Monday, November 9. Anyone entering the event on Tuesday, November 10 or after will receive $1,500-to-win. The race will also now pay and increased amount of $200 to start the feature. Tow money ($50.00) for non-qualifying drivers will only be paid to those who pre-entered before November 10. The tire rule will be the same used at the regular PA 358 Sprint Car tracks. All other rules of the Central PA 358 Sprint Cars will prevail for this event. Mufflers are not required for the 358 Sprint Cars. Raceivers will be mandatory.

For the 358 Sprint Cars, the starting positions for the qualifying heat races will be aligned through a blind draw at the pit gate on the day of the event. The feature lineup will be determined by heat race number one winner drawing for an inversion (1,3,6,9) or (1,2,4,6,8) depending on the number of heat races.

As an extra bonus, all pre-entrants will be able to draw a second time for a starting position if he or she does not like their first draw for position. However, the entrant must take the second drawn spot regardless of whether or not it is a better starting position.

Pre-entry for the event was not mandatory, but highly encouraged to receive the benefits of pre-entering. A Pre-entry with the fee ($50.00) must be postmarked by Monday, November 9, 2015. All entries postmarked on or after Tuesday, November 10, 2015 will not receive the bonus winner’s pay, tow money if not qualified and the choice for second pill draw. Entries will be taken on the day of the event. The entry fee includes a complimentary pit pass for the driver.

Gates will open for both the pit area at 11:30 a.m. and grandstand area at 12:00 p.m. with racing action beginning at 2:00 p.m.

– Track Rental for the “Big Track” and the “Outback Track” – The “Big track” and the “Outback track” are available for rent beginning March 1, 2015. The “Big Track” rental fee is $1,500.00 for 4 hours and may be split between a maximum of five-(5) drivers/teams. Only one car is permitted on the track at a time. If an ambulance is requested, it is an additional $75.00 per hour. For nighttime rentals at the “Big Track”, an additional $100.00 per hour will be charged for lights.

The rental price for the “Outback Track” is $400.00 for 4 hours during the day /$500.00 at night and may be split between a maximum of five-(5) drivers/teams. To reserve either track, please call 717-292-1696.

– Repeat Fan Discount Continues for 2015 – The popular “Repeat Fan Discount” program will continue at SSP in 2015 for the 12th season in a row. There is a $2.00 repeat fan discount for each person with a ticket stub from races during the previous week’s events completed only. The Repeat Fan Discount is not valid for pit pass purchases.
