(WEST HAZLETON, PA. 1-25-15) When the 2nd Annual NEPA Race Car Show presented by B. Swartz Transport of Lehighton takes place the week of February 9-15 at the Laurel Mall, race vehicles will be everywhere throughout the expansive Hazleton area shopping center.

One of the tasks at hand will be deciding who has the best of show. To say the least it won’t be any easy decision as some very impressive mounts will be part of the week-long event.

Proudly taking on the challenge, however, will be local news personalities Jeannine Lesante-Mazurkiwecz and Ken Kara of SSPTV-13 who will have the privilege of judging the winner.

The SSPTV Best Appearing Car Award will be presented on Saturday, February 14 to the lucky winner during a 2:00 pm presentation.

Also throughout the week Kara, who is the SSPTV-13 news anchor, will be doing driver interviews that will be aired on the nightly broadcast.

Since 1984, Sam-Son Productions, Inc. (“SSP”) has been producing high-quality video and television programs for major corporations and local businesses. Sam-Son Productions’ television shows and programs can be seen on Service Electric Cablevision (America’s First Cable Company) channel 13 in Northeastern PA and Comcast cable channel 190 in Pottsville, PA. The television shows can be viewed by over 670,000 households (approximately 2,010,000 people) in Northeastern Pennsylvania. In Central and Southern Pennsylvania can be viewed by over 1,866,044 households (approximately 5,598,132 people.) They have also been broadcast all over the United States and even internationally.

Thus far over 50 race vehicles of all shapes and sizes are ready to move into the mall. More are expected as move-on day takes place on Sunday, February 8.

One of the highlights of the show takes place on Friday, February 13, at 7:00 pm, where everyone is invited to a “Racers Night Out” which will be held at Lobitz Catering Hall in Hazle Township. Just a short drive from the Laurel Mall and located directly behind Fairway Chevrolet off PA Route 309, the Racers Night Out will be a great evening for all who attend.

There is a $10 fee payable at the door and includes plenty of great food plus an evening of driver interviews plus videographer Mike O’Brien of MoTorsport Video Production will be providing an assortment of racing videos to be shown throughout the night. Bob Hatcher, who maintains the popular Evergreen/Mahoning/Dorney Facebook page with loads of racing pictures of those tracks and many others across Pennsylvania, will be running a pictorial slide show of great memories.

Anyone interested in placing their race vehicle in the show are asked to contact event organizer Dino Oberto at 570-401-8168 or email at dlm@ptd.net.

The Laurel Mall is located on PA Route 93 just off I-81 in West Hazleton.
