Great Deal For Series As Tool Company Will Be Title Sponsor Through 2018 Season

Newberrytown Pa.- Fans have often speculated on the demise of the World of Outlaws as a series throughout its illustrious 38-year history.
Big-name drivers have come and gone. So have series title sponsors. In each case, message boards lit up with thoughts of, “This is it.”
But through all the peaks and valleys of running a national motorsports series, the World of Outlaws has persevered. And after a ground-breaking announcement Monday, it’s clear the series is here to stay and thriving.
The World of Outlaws has inked Sears and Craftsman Tools to be the title sponsor of both the Sprint Car and Late Model Series starting in 2016. It’s a three-year deal that solidifies the group as the premier dirt motorsports series in the country.
“Well, it’s critical,” said World of Outlaws CEO Brian Carter when asked about the importance of a multi-year deal. “Racing is a momentum sport, and it takes a while to build up.
“We are in the process of painting trucks, trailers, rebranding and engaging fans with the Craftsman brand. It takes a while to get that rolling, so it will take time to build.
