Sicklerville, NJ (November 15, 2015) – Willie Osmun, an accomplished and winning driver, is set to wheel Mike Bent Racing’s Modified in high profile events in 2016.

Osmun, from Bloomsbury, NJ, has been involved in racing from birth. Being the son of Hall of Fame wheelman Billy Osmun, the younger Osmun watched his dad compete before getting behind the wheel in 1986. At the age of 18, he began to compete at the famed Flemington Speedway in the rookie sportsman class. From there, Osmun’s career has seen him race at many dirt tracks including the New York State Fairgrounds one-mile oval in Syracuse. He is a proven winner as evidenced by his forty victories and three track championships. At races where the payout is strong, Osmun is always a contender for the top prize. His biggest win took place in 2010 at New Egypt Speedway as he claimed the $15,000 to win 100-lap Friends of Mike race.

Car owner Mike Bent has been involved in dirt racing for twenty years as crewman, driver and owner. Dan Ahn, Ty Constantino, and Todd Hanlin serve as the crew and have a combined eighty-five years of experience in racing. Bent and his pit crew will prepare a 2014 Troyer car for Osmun to utilize. With their knowledge and skills, Osmun will have a top notch Modified at his disposable.

The team is set to race at high profile events in 2016 and the ambitious schedule will begin in March. It will include competing in regional events such as the competitive Short Track Super Series, select races in the Thunder on the Hill Series, and the historical Eastern States event. The team is projecting to make several trips outside of the region. In July, they are planning a visit to Eldora Speedway in Ohio when the Big Block Modifieds will share the limelight with the Nascar Camping World Truck Series. The Northern New Jersey based racing outfit is slated to close out the season with an invasion of the Dirt Track at Lowes in Charlotte, NC in November for the televised World Finals event. Other races will be added as tracks release their 2016 schedules throughout the next few months.
