Mechanicsburg – The Lawrence Chevrolet sprint cars will tune up for the 55th annual Williams Grove Speedway World of Outlaws Champion Racing Oil National Open this Friday night, September 22 at 8 pm.

With the Champion Racing Oil National Open looming September 28, 29 and 30, this will be the last chance for the Williams Grove regulars known as the Pennylvania Posse to ready themselves for the big three-day event the following week.

The National Open tune up race will crown the 2017 Hoosier Diamond Series champion in the 410-sprint division while the Champion Racing Oil National Open itself will crown the season-long track titlist.

The sprint car feature will pay $4,000 to win with time trials setting the starting lineups for heat races, followed by a dash and the 25-lap main event.

The HJ Towing & Recovery 358 sprints will also be in action for their final show of the season with the champion being crowned in that divison.

General admission for the show is $16 for adults and $10 for youth ages 13 – 20.

Kids ages 12 and under are always admitted free at Williams Grove Speedway!

Looking for a first-ever Williams Grove track title, Freddie Rahmer currently leads the points in the 2017 Lawrence Chevrolet 410-sprint season-long title chase while Danny Dietrich leads the standings in the 2017 Hoosier Diamond Series of races.

Kevin Nouse sits atop the title chase in the 358-sprint division in a quest for his second 358 crown in a row and fourth overall of his career.

If able to claim the Diamond Series title, the crown would be a first for Dietrich.

The three-day Champion Racing Oil World of Outlaws National Open will take place at the track on September 28, 29 and October 30.
