(May 19, 2015) – Ohsweken, Ontario – Ohsweken Speedway’s 20th season of racing continues this Friday, May 22 with the second round of the track’s 2015 weekly racing series. The Corr/Pak Merchandising 360 Sprint Car, Strickland’s GMC Crate Sprint Car, Affordable Towing & Recovery Thunder Stock, HRW Automotive Mini Stock, & Gale’s Auto Aftermarket Bomber divisions will all be part of the show.

CORR/PAK MERCHANDISING 360 SPRINT CARS
2008 track champion Keith Dempster has the early lead in the 360 Sprint Car standings following a runner-up finish to invader Parker Price-Miller in last Friday night’s season opener. Mitch Brown, defending champ Glenn Styres, Todd Hoddick, and Conor Mahoney make up the rest of the top 5. Ryan Turner leads Tyler Hendricks, Lee Winger, and Kris Root in the Rookie of the Year standings.

STRICKLAND’S GMC CRATE SPRINT CARS
15 year old Alex Hill is atop the Crate Sprint Car standings after visiting Mobil 1 Victory Lane for the first time in Friday’s opening event. Mark Czuba, Aaron Turkey, Jake Brown, and Dylan Westbrook hold spots in the top 5. Hill also has the lead in the Rookie of the Year standings over Steve Lyons, Mack DeMan, and Ed Green.

AFFORDABLE TOWING & RECOVERY THUNDER STOCKS
Defending Thunder Stock champ Dave Silverthorn, Jr. has the points lead after the season opener thanks to a runner-up finish to Ryan Dinning. Wyatt Van Wart, Chris Dickie, Dave Bailey, and Dale Gyokery round out the current top 5. Brandon McFerran has the lead in the Rookie of the Year standings over Alex Schuts, Jeremy May, Max Chechalk, and Jerry Hill.

HRW AUTOMOTIVE MINI STOCKS
Jason Lungaro emerged as the victor of an entertaining Mini Stock feature last Friday, and leads the championship standings as a result. Kathi Dickie, Jon Janssens, Jake Bazuin, and Brandon Janssens hold the rest of the top 5 spots. Jake Bazuin also leads the Rookie of the Year standings over Gillian Hils, Jason Dixon, Trevor Young, Tim Youngblut, Andy Ryckman, Clinton Nicholls, Shone Evans, Gary Hodgson, Kevin Slater, and Shane Dixon.

GALE’S AUTO AFTERMARKET BOMBERS
Patrick Abrahamsson got the win in the first feature of the Ohsweken season, and leads the Bomber standings, followed by Jerry Burnham, Wayde Thorne, Mark Thone, and rookie Adam Nigh. Dusty DeBoer did not finish last Friday, and has a tough road ahead to garner his third consecutive championship.
