Weekly Racing at Orange County Fair Speedway Gets the Green Flag This Saturday, April 16th

MIDDLETOWN, NY- April 11, 2016- When Mother Nature didn’t cooperate, the originally-scheduled 2016 inaugural weekly racing program at Orange County Fair Speedway was postponed to this coming Saturday evening, April 16.
The 67th consecutive season of weekly racing at Orange County will find the first green flag waving at 7:00 pm. The headlining stars of the program will be the 800-horsepower Big-Block Modifieds in a 30-lap feature race. They’ll be joined by the Small-Block Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and the Four-Cylinder divisions. All divisions, except the Four-Cylinders, will compete in qualifying races to set the fields for the evening’s feature events. In addition, the Orange County Kids Club has activities planned for the younger fans.
Will there be new Opening Night winners added to the long list of great Orange County drivers? Or will previous victors take the checkered flags once again? Racing gets under way at 7:00 P.M at the historic Middletown, New York five-eights-mile “Hard Clay” surfaced speedway. The evening’s program is sponsored by Howard Johnson-Super 8 of Middle-town and Smokers Choice. The Street Stocks will be competing in the Jeremy Michael Hedges Memorial feature race, while the Four-Cylinders go to the post in the JBM Truck Repair event.
Adult admission for either the homestretch stands of the backstretch drive-in for all weekly Saturday night racing programs is $15, Seniors $13, and Children 12 and under $1.00.
