Weedsport Speedway Extends “Last Call” as the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars Invade to Cap Off Huge Triple Header Weekend
WEEDSPORT, N.Y. – September 23, 2015 – The World of Outlaw Sprint Cars will invade Central New York for the final time in 2015 on Sunday, October 25th as the grand Finale of Weedsport’s inaugural “Last Call Weekend”. Action begins Friday, October 23rd as the DIRTcar 358 series crowns its Champion on “Victory Hill” at the conclusion of the 125 lap 358 Modified Main event. The Big Block Super DIRTcar Series Modifieds also take to the track for the “All Ways 150” Time Trials, as well as a 35 lap Modified Feature and the potent “Go Nuclear” Late Models. Action Returns to the Track Saturday, October 24th, when the Upstate Sportsman Alliance Series, as well as the Dirtcar Big Block Modified Series, make their final appearances in Central New York for the 2015 racing season. The Sportsmen will crown the USA Champion and the “All Ways 150” Super DIRTcar Modified Series event will help to set the stage for the World Finals in Charlotte. Saturday night’s events will close the book on the Modified season in Central New York for 2015, but the action in Weedsport will be far from over. On Sunday, October 25th, “The Port” scores the Hat Trick, when the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series makes its second stop of 2015 at the famed 3/8 Mile oval.
“The Outlaws were here for the Empire State Challenge in May and it was an outstanding event. The racing was great, the crowd was electric, and we are thrilled to have them back in October,” stated Speedway General Manager Jim Phelps. “We could not think of a better way to cap off this amazing weekend than with the best sprint car racers in the world, and we are very excited.”
