Verizon, INDYCAR and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will announce joint participation in a HopeLine drive throughout the month of May to raise critical funds and awareness for domestic violence prevention.

The drive invites INDYCAR fans to bring their wireless phones and accessories that are no longer used to donation sites set up around Indianapolis Motor Speedway this month. The joint parties will present a $50,000 HopeLine grant to the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence for the Emergency Housing and Transportation Survivor Fund.

Since 2001, HopeLine from Verizon has collected more than 11.4 million phones and granted over $29 million to domestic violence organizations.
