GEORGETOWN, DE – Lights, camera, action!
National television returns to Northeast dirt Modified racing on Tuesday, August 28 at Georgetown Speedway. And VAHLCO Wheels will be front and center.
For the first time in the history of the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco, an event will be nationally televised on MAV-TV with the fifth running of the ‘Blast at the Beach’ Velocita-USA South Region big-block/small-block Modified event.
On the card at the Georgetown banked half-mile are the STSS Modifieds racing for $5,000 to win, $1,000 for 10th and $400 to start in a 35-lap main plus STSS Crate 602 Sportsman ($1,000 to win), Delmarva Chargers and Delaware Super Trucks.
VAHLCO Wheels has signed on as the presenting sponsor of the event for 2018.

The ‘Blast at the Beach’ carries a rain date of Wednesday, August 29 in the event of inclement weather.
Georgetown Speedway, originally constructed by Melvin L. Joseph in 1949, is located at the intersection of Route 113 and Speedway Road in Georgetown, Del., just miles from the Delaware beaches and less than a 40-minute drive from Ocean City, Md.
