The Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds kickoff at DIRTcar Nationals Wednesday night

BARBERVILLE, FL- February 17, 2016- The Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds took to the half-mile Volusia Speedway Park Tuesday night for three hot laps sessions in preparation for four nights of racing during DIRTcar Nationals.
Tyler Dippel was the fastest through the three sessions with a lap of 17.432 seconds. Tim Fuller was second fastest overall with a lap of 17.786 seconds. Both drivers made their laps during the first session.
The hot laps sessions came the night before the Super DIRTcar Series kicks off its DIRTcar Nationals run. 33 cars participated in Tuesday night’s practice.
Last year, Brett Hearn, Stewart Friesen, Rick Laubach and Neal Williams all claimed a Gator trophy after winning a feature. The coveted ‘Big Gator’ for the highest scoring Super DIRTcar Series driver during the 12-day event went to Larry Wight.
