THREE BIG DOLLAR MODIFIED RACES AND MORE HIGHLIGHT WALL STADIUM’S 65TH ANNIVERSARY STOCK CAR RACING REGULAR SEASON
WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ Two 100-lap Downs Ford Modified main events, one paying $4000 to win and one paying $5000 to win, and 125-lap race offering $5000 to the winner are just a few of the special events on the regular season agenda as Wall Stadium Speedway celebrates its 65th anniversary season. The 2015 weekly Saturday night campaign gets the green flag on April 25 but racers in all divisions will have the opportunity to test out their new and rebuilt equipment on the two Saturday afternoons leading up to the opener.
The big paying spotlight races for the Modifieds are the Garden State Classic 100-lapper paying $4000 to win on June 20, the 125-lap Summer Scorcher offering $5000 for the win on August 1 and the High Bank Hundred paying $5000 to the winner on August 22. In addition all of the speedway’s divisions will be in for a challenge as the track has plans for a “Triple Crown Challenge” during the season. Details will be announced soon.
In addition to the big Modified races other dates of extra importance include the season opener on April 25, the Fan Appreciation night festivities featuring the on track party on May 2, a special 65th anniversary party featuring commemorative 65 lap races on May 30, a night of cone races on July 11 and Twin Mania on August 29. Plans are also in gear for a “Tire Change Challenge” during the campaign.
In honor of the 65th anniversary season speedway manager Diane Krause is asking all feature winners in the history of Wall Stadium to contact the speedway office so that they can be honored during the season.
The racers in the Modified division are not the only ones with special events on the agenda. Competitors in the Sportsman, Limited Late Model, Legend Cars, Factory Stock and 4 Cylinder divisions will all have their share of special races. The Dirt Cars are also on the agenda nine times this season.

A swap meet is the first event on the agenda on Sunday March 8 with gates opening at 7:30 a.m. The pit area will then be open of tire purchases and technical inspection on April 4 before two pre-season practice dates are presented on April 11 and 18 with on-track testing to run from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. both days. The facility will also open at 9:00 a.m. both practice days so that new and rebuilt racecars can be inspected and for tire purchases.
In addition to the regular weekday hours, the speedway office will be open on Saturdays in March from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for competitor and pit crew licenses and pit area parking spot reservations. All necessary forms are available on the speedway website and those interest are asked to call the office in advance of their Saturday visit.
Current plans call for Saturday evening stock car racing events to run until the end of September. Post-season events, the “Spooky Spectacular” in October and the Thanksgiving weekend “Turkey Derby,” are also being planned.
