West Lebanon NY.- March 5, 2017- This week, Lebanon Valley Speedway officially released the schedule for the 2017 season.  There will be 21 consecutive Saturday nights of racing, 20 of which will feature the headlining Big Block Modifieds with their huge V8 engines that make the ground tremble with delight.

The season will start on Apr. 15 with Warm-ups.  The track will be open to competitors from all classes to test and tune their cars for the upcoming season.  Spectators can come and observe from the stands for free.  Concessions will be available for those who attend.

The official season opener is scheduled for Apr. 22.  L&M Motors and Sayer’s Auto Wrecking will present a $3000 to win Big Block Modified feature.  They will be joined by the Pro Stock, Sportsman and Pure Stock classes.

Apr. 29 will see Heavy Hauler Present Opening Night for the Small Block Modified and 4-Cylinder classes.  The Big Block Modifieds will race, but only for appearance points because of the Super DIRTcar Series beginning their season at Fulton Speedway that night.

Highlights of the regular racing season for Modifieds include the 5th Annual JC Flach Memorial on Jun. 3, the Rifenburg Construction $5000 to win King of the Track race on Jul. 15 and the Maynard Forrette Memorial on Jul. 29.  For the Small Block Modifieds, the scheduled events on Jul. 30 (on the undercard of the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars) and Sep. 9 will be 35 lap features held as part of the King of Dirt Small Block Modified Series.

Special Pro Stock races include the 12th Annual 23-lap Bubba Tanner Prostock Classic on Jun. 17, a round of the DIRTcar Pro Stock Series on Jun. 24, The Old Buzzard 30 on Aug. 5 and a King of Dirt Pro Stock Series 30-lap feature on Aug. 26.

Sportsman teams will contest the $2000 to win 6th Annual Andrew Sherman Sportsman Memorial on May 20.  In addition, the King of Dirt Sportsman Series will race at Lebanon Valley on Jul. 15 and on the undercard of Mr. DIRT Track U.S.A.

Pure Stock teams have three extra distance races scheduled for 2017.  The Boomer’s Performance 20-lap Purestock Clash will be May 6, while the 20-lap Meltz Lumber Purestock Race will be Jun. 10.  Finally, a second Boomer’s Performance 20-lap Purestock Clash will be held on Aug. 12.

The season for the Big Block Modifieds and Pro Stocks will wrap up on Sep. 2 prior to Labor Day.  The Small Block Modified, Sportsman, Pure Stock and 4-Cylinder classes will continue and wrap-up on Sep. 9.  The 2017 year of events will finish up with the 34th Annual Super Swapmeet on Nov. 5.

There will also be a number of special non-Saturday nights of racing as well.  The first of those special race nights will be the annual Eve of Destruction on Jun. 20, brought to you by Sayer’s Auto Wrecking and County Waste. The Eve will feature the 4-Cylinder and Pure Stock classes, races of an unusual nature (including the ever-popular school bus race), a demolition derby, stunts and more.

Monster Jam will return to Lebanon Valley for four nights of racing from Jul. 16-19.  Each night of racing will begin with a Pit Party at 5 p.m. where fans can meet the drivers, get autographs, take pictures and get up close and personal with the trucks.  At 6:30, the Street Warriors will take on a short course on the frontstretch in a series of timed runs.  The Monster Trucks will come out at 8 p.m. for a full schedule of action.

After a successful first trip to Lebanon Valley last year, Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will return to the high banks on Sunday, Jul. 30 for a night of action presented by Abele Tractor.  The 410 Sprints will be joined by the King of Dirt Small Block Modified class.  They will be competing in a $1500 to win feature on the undercard.  If weather affects the card, Monday, Jul. 31 has already been designated as a rain date.

Finally, the Super DIRTcar Series makes their return to Lebanon Valley Speedway on Aug. 31 for the annual Mr. DIRT Track U.S.A.  This year, the race has been extended to 101 laps from the typical 100.  It doesn’t sound like much, but just one extra lap can change the outcome of a race.  $17,500 will go to the winner and a large contingent of teams is expected.  The King of Dirt Sportsman Series will race on the undercard.

Ticket prices have changed for the 2017 season.  General Admission bleacher tickets will be $11 for adults on regular nights while Kids General Admission tickets will still be $2.  Reserved tickets will be $13 regardless of age, while Tower and/or Roof tickets will remain at $16.  The lone exception to this rule is Jul. 1, Fireworks Night.  Adult GA tickets for that night will be $12, while Reserved seats will be $14 and Tower/Roof seats $20.
