MIDDLETOWN, NY -June 5, 2017-.More than 80 former drivers, car owners, and friends of the speedway have indicated they’ll be on hand this Saturday, June 10 for the annual Nostalgia Night at Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, New York.  This promises to be a fun-filled night of remembrance, autographs, and interviews as Orange County celebrates its long and glorious stock car racing history.

Among the racing stars of yesteryear returning to the Hard Clay speedway are Bob Rossell, Tighe Scott, Bill Tanzosh, Carl Van Horn, Larry Brolsma, Richie Smith, and Sammy Beavers. Former NASCAR Monster Energy Cup driver David Reutimann (who raced Northeast dirt track Modifieds early in his career) and his father and Uncle, Buzzie and Wayne Reutimann, both two-time, Orange County Modified and Eastern States 200 champions, will be in attendance. Health permitting, the legendary Frankie Schneider will also return to Orange County

In addition to this colorful look back at Orange County racing history, a full program of Big-Block Modified, Sportsman, and Street Stock racing is scheduled. The Street Stock competitors will be racing in the $500-to-win Marky Traverse Memorial Race. And to make the night complete, the restored and vintage race cars of the Northeast Vintage Modified Racing Club and the Atlantic Coast Old Timers will help fans recall the great race cars of yesterday.

An extended intermission period will allow fans to interact and get autographs with the returning stars of The Hard Clay.  Fans will be able to purchase a special “Nostalgia Night” tee shirt from Dave’s Racing Collectibles stand. A poster will also be available at no charge for fans’ autograph collecting.

Corporate sponsors for Orange County’s “Nostalgia Night,” our evening of racing remembrance, are Halmar International, Home 2 Suites by Hilton, and Arkel Motors.

Admission prices for the big June 10 race meet remain at $15 adults, $13 seniors, and $1.00 for children 12 and under. Please note that this full night of racing and reminiscence begins promptly at 6:30 pm.
