Statement from Orange County Fair Speedway

Earlier this week, RacersGuide.com published a story regarding the 2016 Modified purse structure at the Orange County Fair Speedway.  On Saturday morning, we received a phone call from speedway promoter, Michael Gurda, in which he released he shared with us the following:

“At Orange County Fair Speedway, any announcement about purse structure is pre-mature.  We haven’t discussed increasing the payment to win – I’d like to possibly fatten up positions going back – but it’s definitely too early to make any kind of announcement.

We’re talking about having a lot of promotions throughout the year, some with the fans and spectators, some with the teams, maybe increased purse events.

We’re fortunate to have Halmar Industries and all of our sponsors participate in a variety of things.  Once everything we are doing is finalized, we will make a formal announcement – until then anything else is pre-mature.”
