Abbottstown, PA (August 29, 2020) – The Inaugural Kramer Klash saw the PA Posse pitted against the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions on Saturday night. After 35 laps of racing action an invader, not claimed by the Posse or the All Stars, scored the $7,300 win. Spencer Bayston, in the Swindell SpeedLab #39, scored his first Lincoln win and his third career All Star victory with his Kramer Klash title.

Bayston lined up on the pole with Danny Dietrich representing the PA Posse to his outside. The Posse was well represented on the second row with Brian Monteith  and Chad Trout.

At the drop of the green Bayston took the lead. Freddie Rahmer was battling Trout for fourth allowing Aussie-driver, James McFadden to close in. Trout held off Rahmer to keep the spot.

Lapped traffic came into play on lap 4 and saw Dietrich closing in on the leader, Bayston.

The first caution of the race came on lap 6 when Josh Baughman came to a stop on the back stretch.

Bayston led Dietrich, Monteith, Trout and Rahmer to the cone for the single file restart. Bayston opted for the top of the track as did Montieth. Brian got a run on Dietrich using the top and challenged him for the runner-up spot.

The caution came out on the restart before the battle for second could get underway. McFadden bounced off the cushion in turn 4 and got turned around on the front stretch. McFadden made contact with bout Trout and Rahmer during the ordeal but neither car stopped so they both maintained their running order.

McFadden rejoined the field after utilizing time in the work area.

Once again Monteith used the top in turns 1 and 2 to gain on Dietrich but couldn’t make the pass. After getting by Trout, Rahmer pulled a slide job on Monteith for third but it didn’t stick. Aaron Reutzel entered the battle for third as the leaders entered lapped traffic on lap 11.

Dietrich used lapped traffic to close in on Bayston. Montieth also took advantage of lapped traffic to track down Dietrich.

Reutzel got by Rahmer for third on lap 15. Lap 16 saw Dietrich right on Bayston’s bumper.

The top two were side by side for the lead at the line on lap 20. Zeb Wise got sideways coming out of turn 2 and collected Dietrich. Danny pulled a 360 spin and avoided coming to a stop despite the contact with Wise. Per All Star rules Dietrich had to tag the rear, as any car pulling a 360 is subject to the rule.

The top five for the restart were Bayston, Reutzel, Monteith, Rahmer and Trout. Montieth got under Reutzel to try and take second on the restart but Reutzel held the spot.

Tim Wagaman was on the move and got by Trout to enter the top 5. Two laps later he got by Rahmer coming out of turn 2 for fourth.

While the leaders maneuvered through lapped traffic Monteith was within striking distance of Reutzel once again for second.

The final caution of the race came on lap 33 when both Rahmer and Brent Marks had flat tires. Marks was running fifth after working through the field from his eighteenth starting spot. Rahmer was running sixth when the caution flag flew.

Reutzel, Montieth, Wagaman and Trout lined up behind Bayston for the green, white, checkered restart.

Reutzel went to the bottom of turns 1 and 2 to try and get by Bayston but Bayston was checked out.

Bayston took the checkered flag 1.005 seconds ahead of Reutzel for the Kramer Klash victory. Montieth held on to third. Wagaman finished fifth and Cory Eliason snuck into the top on the restart. After restarting at the rear of the field after his 360 field, Dietrich drove back for a sixth place finish.

Sprint car heat race winners were Troy Wagaman Jr, Tim Wagaman, Freddie Rahmer and Spencer Bayston.

Jeremy Ott Wires the Field for Legend Win

Jeremy Ott

Dan Harrison and Jeremy Ott shared the front row for the 20-lap Central PA Legends feature. Ott took the lead going into turn 1 and Bill Diehl moved into second. As Harrison fell to fifth Alex Schmeidel moved into third.

Diehl battled Ott for the lead as Travis McClelland got by Schmeidel for third on lap three.

Diehl was trying to use the bottom to gain on Ott when the caution came out on lap 5 for Logan Carbaugh.

Ott led Diehl, McClelland, Schmeidel, and Mike Racine to the cone for the single file restart.

Diehl kept the pressure on Ott for the lead but the caution came out on the restart when Chris Transeau spun in turn 2.

Ben Goldsmith stopped in turn 4 bringing out another caution on lap 7.

Seth Kearchner was working hard on Racine to get in to the top 5 when another caution came on lap 10. Ron Little spun and came to a stop in turn 4.

Lincoln Kearchner was also a victim of turn 4 on lap 11 brining out the yellow flag.

Racine was going after Schmeidel for fourth and got the spot by a nose on lap 15. After the impressive battle Racine got out of shape going down the back stretch and fell back to sixth. Racine’s misfortune allowed Seth Kearchner to enter the top five.

Scott Spidle and Brandon Reiblich brought out the yellow flag on lap 18.

Ott paced the field ahead of Diehl, McClelland, Schmeidel and Kearchner for the restart. The caution came out on the restart for Reiblich, Spidle and Eric Hurst when they piled up going into turn 3.

Diehl took one last look to the inside of Ott after the green flag flew for the green, white, checkered finish. Ott held a half a car length advantage over Diehl at the line with the checkered flag in the air. McClelland crossed the line third. Schmeidel held on to fourth and Kearchner completed the top five.
