Grandstand seating on “Champions Night” will open at 5:00 p.m. on October 8 with qualifying beginning at 5:45 p.m. and main event action to follow. In the event of bad weather for this important evening of competition a rain date of Saturday, October 7, has been set.

In the Freehold Ford Modified ranks Howell’s Jimmy Blewett is at the top of the point rankings as he seeks his third speedway crown. Still, two-time and defending champ Steven Reed of Jackson, Andrew Krause of Holmdel and Toms River’s Derek Hopkinson are within striking distance. The Modifieds will compete in a double point 40-lapper.

Tyler Truex of Mayetta and two-time former champ Kevin Davison of Howell are at the top of the Snap-on Sportsman chase going into Saturday’s double point 30-lapper. Still, Jarret DiGiantomasso and Brian Scisco, both of Jackson, have a shot at the crown.

Former champion Scott Riggleman of Manchester, Mike Montano of Fort Myers, Florida, Elliott Wohl of Beachwood and Joey Helberg of Union lead the O’Shea Auto Repair Factory Stock points going into the night’s double point 25-lap headliner.

The Green Flag Driving Experience Legend Cars find former champs Robert French of Howell and Louie Keraitis of Toms River locked in a battle for the title with one double point 25-lap race remaining. Nick Van Wickle of Edgewater Park also has a shot at stealing away the crown.

In the Surf Side Collision 4 Cylinder Stocks Howell’s Brian Osborn and Darren Burdge of Jackson are the top point drivers going into Saturday’s double point 25-lap point finale. Former champ Brian Doyle of Ronkonkoma, N.Y., Greg Miranda of Hazlet, Mike Tillett of Beachwood and Cole Ormsbee of Wall lead the Elite Maintenance Limited Late Model points with just one regular season double point 25-lapper remaining.
Saturday’s schedule will see the competitor pit area open at 1:00 p.m. Regular practice will start at 3:00 p.m., while spectator seating will open at 5:00 p.m. Qualifying starts at 5:45 p.m. with main events to follow.
