A Salute To First Responders Coming Up This Sunday at Action Track USA in Kutztown

Kutztown, PA – (May 30) – The first two events of the 2018 season have provided a thrill-a-minute competition at Championship Energy Action Track USA on the Kutztown Fairgrounds. The thrills, chills, and non-stop excitement continue this Sunday, June 3, as the speedway proudly hosts Glick Fire Equipment First Responder Night presented by Belfor Property Restoration of Allentown. All First Responders who show a current and valid I.D. will be admitted free at Action Track USA on Sunday. Glick Fire Equipment will have fire and rescue trucks on display (with live demonstrations all night long) and Belfor Property Restoration reps will have a booth set up, along with several nice raffle prizes for the fans. The show begins with warm-ups at 5 p.m. and qualifying races immediately following the hot lap sessions.
When you think USAC SpeedSTRs, the names of Billy Pauch Jr. and Tim Buckwalter immediately come to mind. So it’s no surprise that these two throttle-jockeys are tied for the point lead heading into First Responder Night. Pauch and Buckwalter each have a victory and a third-place finish in the first two highly competitive main events.
The pulse-quickening Hyper Racing 600 Sprints have produced a pair of incredibly entertaining feature events, with Pauch and Alex Bright pulling into victory lane when the checkered flag ended the heart pounding action. In addition to his triumph, Bright finished second to Pauch in the King of No Wing season opener, and he’s got a 15-point lead over Billy Jr. after the first two programs.
Jared Silfee and Taylor Mills have been super consistent in the All Star Slingshot division, with Silfee winning on opening night and Mills recording second and third place finishes in the first two events.
The Junior Slingshots return on Sunday for their second appearance of the 2018 campaign. Tyler Ulsh will attempt to repeat his winning drive of May 28, while Kasey Hufcut will try to better his performance by one spot.
