A FEW RULE CHANGES RELEASED FOR STOCK CAR RACING AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA January 24, 2018 . . . With the new season of weekly stock car racing at NASCAR sanctioned Grandview Speedway a few rule changes have been announced as a result of a recent rules meeting.

Late Model stock cars racing at the one-third-mile, banked clay Bechtelsville oval will now be able to us any CFM Holley style carburetor.

All 602 and 604 Crate engine Sportsman cars with aluminum or steel wheels must weight 2,300, a weight reduction from past seasons. All other Sportsman weights will remain the same as they have been.

No digital dashboards will be allowed, only analog gauges are permitted.

Newcomers in the Sportsman and Modified divisions will be permitted to run American Racer tires with their current track stamps for the first week of official competition. A G-View stamped tire must be added each week after that until all four wheels have G-View stamped tires.

Late Model division newcomers may run their current track tires the first night (Hoosier or American Racer). Each week following the first week a G-View stamped tire must be added until and all fours have the G-View tires.

The racing season at Grandview Speedway kicks off on Saturday, March 31st with a free-to-the-public practice session open to all divisions of competition.

The Bruce Rogers Memorial is set to get the “real racing” started on Saturday, April 7th. The Modifieds will race in a 50-lapper paying $7,500 to win while all feature starters will earn at least $1,000. Sportsman stock cars will also be part of the doubleheader show. There is no entry fee, no points and no license required for this special race.

The Rogers Family Grandview Speedway will be moving into their 56th consecutive season of racing. The track is located on Passmore Road, just off Route 100 in Bechtelsville, PA, 10 miles north of Pottstown.
