Rich Bossinger wins the Slifko Fabrications Street Stock Feature, but Mother Nature steals the other divisions victories on Red White and Blue Autos night at Big Diamond Speedway.

Fans and teams arrived to the track Friday evening under beautiful blue skies, and it looked like it was going to be a great night of racing at Big Diamond Speedway for the Red White and Blue Autos evening. Smokey the Bear was on hand as well as the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) who set up a nice display of their brush trucks and fire response vehicles as well as informative literature and other treats for fans in attendance. The teams worked on their cars in the pit area and then took to the track for hot laps and their qualifying heat events. Mother Nature was busy preparing a rain storm that would soon wash out the nights events, but not until after Rick Bossinger was able to pick up the win in the Slifko Fabrications Street Stock Feature event.

Rick Bixler and Jasen Geesaman would lead the Street Stocks to the green flag and Bixler but it would be Rich Bossinger who would be shown as leading the first lap, after coming from his third place starting position. Bossinger proved to be the dominate force it the 20 lap feature event and would hold off Chris Derr for the entire event. Derr had his own struggles during the race, as he was competition with damage to his left rear wheel after an incident on the first lap, but still was able to keep his car under control and challenge for the win. Jim Sommers was third followed by Butch Helsel and Jon Schreffler. The heats were won by Jeremy Becker and Jasen Geesamen.

Following a very brief intermission, the Lias Tire 358 Modifieds took to the track for their feature event. There were flashes of lightening in the area but everyone was hopeful that they could run the full night of events. Justin Grim and Kyle Follweiler would lead the field to the green flag. Unfortunately there were a few incidents that caused the caution to fly before getting the first lap in, and as a result both Andy Burkhart and Heath Metzler sustained damage to their cars in separate incidents that caused them to be unable to continue. When the field did get going, it would be Craig VonDohren taking over the top spot and pulling away from the field, but the yellow flag would fly before the field could come around to complete the 5th lap due to the heavy down pour from a storm. The drivers would be instructed to take their cars to the pit area for safety reasons, instead of just running laps under yellow. The rain was heavy enough that it make the track no longer suitable for racing, and as a result the remainder of the race as well as the Savage 61 Roadrunners and USS Achey Sportsman features were canceled and will be made up at a later date. The Lias Tire 358 Modified heats were won by Billy Pauch Jr., Colt Harris and Craig VonDohren. The Savage 61 Roadrunner heats were won by Elvin Brennan and Jim Kost and the USS Achey Sportsman heats were won by Kris Lilick, Craig Whitmoyer and Mike Mammana.
