Remember Our Veterans 40 Highlights New Egypt Speedway’s Memorial Day Weekend

New Egypt, NJ – Memorial Day weekend is upon us at New Egypt Speedway and we are back in action this coming Saturday night May 27th featuring the Remember Our Veterans 40 for the 358 Modifieds that will pay $2,750 to the winner and also serve as “The Dirty Dozen” Round of 12 for May Modified Madness. This race was originally scheduled to be double points as well as the finale for the May Madness Modified Series but Mother Nature had other plans and is no longer. The May Madness Finale, which will be run at a later date, will be a double points feature event. The Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars, Hammer Sportsman will both be in action as well for the first time since April 29th. The Lyons Construction/Metal Fab Rookie Sportsman will also be on the card with two features as well to make up for all of the rainouts. All active and retired Military Personnel will be admitted free to the grandstands this Saturday with ID.

Pit gates unlock at 3:00 p.m. with spectator turnstiles opening at 4:00 p.m. Hot laps get underway at 5:00 p.m. and the racing starts at 6:00 p.m. Admission to the grandstand is $22 for adults, $20 for seniors 65 and older, $12 for teens 12-15 and Kids 11 & under are FREE. Pit admission is $30 with a New Egypt Speedway license and $40 with no license.

Next week June 3rd the 358 Modifieds will again be the headliner with the “Slideways Six” round of May Modified Madness where the bracket will be narrowed from 12 down to six combatants, also on the card will be the Crate Modifieds and the Street Stocks as well as two features for the Lyons Construction/Metal Fab Rookie Sportsman.

New Egypt Speedway is located on Route 539 just minutes from Six Flags Great Adventure and the New Jersey Turnpike.   A racy 7/16-mile D-shaped dirt oval, New Egypt Speedway serves Garden State race fans with some of the best competition in the country.  New Egypt’s state-of-the-art facilities feature daylight-quality lighting and excellent sightlines from any seat in the house.  The grandstands are fully wheelchair accessible with wide, clear, and well-groomed walkways.  Concession facilities serve up everything from Jersey Burgers to ice cream treats at family-friendly prices.
