BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 19, 2015 . . . There has been 28 different feature winners at Grandview Speedway this season. Talk about competitive racing!! It breaks down to 10 TP Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified feature winners, 10 different winners in the Sportsman division and 8 winners in the BRC Late Models. This Saturday, August 22nd, racers will be trying to add to those impressive statistics as the season enters the final three weeks of events counting toward the point championships.
The RCN-TV sponsored night of NASCAR racing action gets the green flag at 7:30 p.m. Ingersoll Rand will be posting a $600 IR tool pack for each NASCAR feature winner. Also included in the racing action will be the excitement of Blast from the Past Vintage stock cars.
Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. and at the same time the weekly Low Down and Dirty Meet and Greet will be taking place and will feature Modified racer Kyle Weiss, Sportsman talent Joe Funk and last week’s first time Late Model feature winner David Ogin. In addition Vintage car racer Kevin Barndt will have his Mach 5 racer on display.
Admission is $15 for adults with youngsters under 12 admitted free.
On Sunday, August 23rd, at 1 p.m. the Outlaw Enduro racers will be in action with two 100-lap features and a Ladies race. In addition the Blast from the Past Vintage cars will be seen in two feature races.
Fans are reminded to continue to participate in the Ingersoll Rand Testing Contest. From 11 a.m. each Saturday to 11 p.m. on Sunday fans are invited to text IRToolsGRV to 313131 for a chance to win an IR prize pack.
Modified racers are not only concentrating on improving their point positions in the final events of the season but readying for the 45th Annual Freedom 76 Modified Classic on Saturday, September 12th. A win in that race rewards the winner with $25,000 plus perks.
Advance tickets are on sale for the big event at the track on Saturday nights and are priced at $35 ($40 on race day) for adults, $10 for youngsters 6 through 11 and under 6 are admitted free. Pit passes will run $45.
Advance tickets can also be ordered by mail. Send a check/money order payable to Grandview Speedway in the amount that covers the tickets being ordered. Send to Grandview Speedway, 87 Wilt Road, Bechtelsville, PA 19505. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope to speed the return delivery. No tickets will be mailed after September 4.
The night before, September 11, the ROC Sportsman and 305 Sprints will see action. And there will be practice sessions for the Modifieds. Adult tickets are priced at $12, youngsters 6 through 11 pay $5 and under 6 are admitted free. Pit passes will be $30. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
If the Friday night event is rained out it will not be rescheduled. September 19th is the rain date for the Freedom 76. Fans attending the Friday event are asked to remove blankets, pillows or other coverings from the seats they used.
Lap sponsorships for the Freedom 76 are currently available at $20 a lap which includes having a listing the official track magazine for the event and mentions on the public address system on the night of the event. Laps can be purchased by contacting Ernie Saxton at 215.752.7797 orEsaxton144@aol.com. Checks can be sent to Saxton at 1448 Hollywood Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047. Laps can also be purchased at the track. And qualifying heat races are available for sponsorship.
Entry blanks for the Freedom 76 are available at the pit office or at www.grandviewspeedway.com.
Coming up on Saturday, August 29th is Superior Products Night presented by Bernheisel Race Cars which will see the BRC Late Models racing in a special 30-lap event with racers sharing in approximately $7,000 in product certificates. Each car must have a BRC decal on the car to qualify. In addition the T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds and Sportsman stock cars will be in action.
