Exciting Sprint and Sportsman Doubleheader Set For Friday Night

033BECHTELSVILLE, PA -September 8, 2016 –Billy Pauch Sr. has won the Freedom 76 Modified Classic at Grandview Speedway six times, the most of any competitor. He has won hundreds of feature races at a variety of tracks in a variety of race cars. He is a true legend in the sport. On Saturday, September 10th, he will be looking to add to that very impressive record as he goes up against many of the top dirt track Modified talents that are entered in the 46th Annual Freedom 76 Modified Classic at Grandview Speedway. A victory will reward the Garden State racing talent with $25,000.

However Pauch will have his hands full as he seeks his seventh win in the Classic. Track champion Craig VonDohren will be standing in the way along with Ryan Godown, winner of championships at two area tracks, Duane Howard, ten time track champion Jeff Strunk, Ray Swinehart, Mike Gular, Ryan Watt, Bobby Varin, David VanHorn, Doug Manmiller, and a long list of other dirt track racing standouts.

283Even Billy Pauch Jr., a rising young star in area motorsports, will be challenging his father for the victory and big pay check.

A full series of qualifying races, a $1,000 to win Cash Dash, consolation races, Schaeffer Motorsports Minuteman 20 (last chance to make the big race), will lead up to the Freedom 76. Racing starts at 7 p.m.

Adult admission is $40 while youngsters 6 thru 11 pay just $10. Kids under 6 will be admitted free. Advance ticketholders will be admitted at 3 p.m. while the ticket windows will open at 3:30 p.m.

Rain date for the Freedom 76 is Saturday, September 17.

On Friday night, September 9th, 7 p.m. champion Mike Haggenbottom will lead a stellar field of 305 Sprints to Grandview and they will be part of a doubleheader that will include the always exciting Sportsman stock cars. The Freedom 38 will be the big event for the Sportsman. In addition Modified racers participating in the Freedom 76 will be given practice time.

Adult admission for Friday night is $12 while youngsters 6 thru 11 pay $5. Kids under 6 are admitted free. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. There is no rain date for this event.

Advance tickets ($35) for the Freedom 76 will be on sale early on Friday evening.
