Mandee Pauch Relations – July 31, 2017 – Billy Pauch Jr. collected his ninth victory of the season Wednesday night at Action Track USA in the X-Treme Graphics No.X 600 Micro Sprint.

Pauch Jr. started his week off at Action Track USA in Kutztown, P.A. Wednesday evening.

Pauch Jr. set fast time overall in the SpeedSTR’s, locking him into the main event.

Pauch Jr. started on the inside of the sixth row for the 30-lap feature.

“We were making moves but I caught the infield tire which put me back quite a ways,” he said. “We were able to battle back to the front and finish sixth.”

Pauch Jr. currently sits second in points in the SpeedSTR.

“We started seventh in the micro sprint and drove up to second, which put us in 10th for the feature.”

Pauch Jr. maneuvered his way through the field and found his way into second by lap ten.

“I reeled in the leader, Timmy Buckwalter, with about two to go and was able to get by him and get our second victory of the year.”

“This one was a little more exciting to be able to win on the track and get to stand in victory lane,” he added. “Our last win came due to a disqualification.”

Pauch Jr. was scheduled to race at New Egypt Speedway on Saturday but due to wet grounds the track canceled. Pauch Jr. then made a last minute decision to make the trip to Bridgeport Speedway to help his father.

“I was heading to Bridgeport with my dad when Danny and Bill, who work on the No.51, called asking if I’d run the car since I’d be down there.”

Saturday was a regular points night at Bridgeport so Pauch Jr. had to start in the back of both the heat and the feature.

Pauch Jr. started seventh in his heat and charged his way through to finish second.

Pauch Jr. started on the outside of the eighth row for the 30-lap main event and posted a sixth-place finish with the No.51 Big Block Modified.

Billy Pauch Sr. started fourth in his heat race at Bridgeport on Saturday in the No.15 Big Block Modified.

Unfortunately something broke in the rear after him and another car got tangled together. He was unable to continue.

Pauch Sr. started 21st for the 30-lap main event and was up to eighth in ten laps when the motor shut down.

“I’m not real sure what happened or if something broke,” he said.

Sunday evening saw Pauch Sr. and Jr. at Susquehanna Speedway with the Short Track Super Series.

“We started fourth in the heat,” Pauch Jr. said. “I got up underneath someone and they decided to turn left. I went into three and four and another driver came in and hit us both and wrecked us. We were unable to finish the heat.”

Pauch Jr. drove from ninth to third in the b-main, placing him 21st for the 50-lap main event.

“I was up to 12th or 14th,” he said. “Everyone wrecked and we had no where to go and broke a shock tower.”

Pauch Jr. was unable to make it back out.

Pauch Sr. started on the pole of his heat race and qualified second, placing him in the top-12 redraw for the feature.

Pauch Sr. made some early moves and was able to drive up to third from his seventh-place starting spot.

About halfway into the race the pan hard mount broke on the No.1 machine.

“Once the pan hard mount broke it made the rear go out of square,” he said. “We were able to hold on for tenth.”

Next up for Pauch Racing: Billy Pauch Sr. will be at Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday. Billy Pauch Jr. will be going four nights straight of racing and will kick off Thursday at Delaware International, then Friday at Big Diamond, Saturday at New Egypt and Sunday at Action Track USA.
