Sicklerville, NJ (July 5, 2015) – Drivers are down to two more Modified 811 Dig Safely events before the $10,000 to win Romp in the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship on Bridgeport Speedway’s quarter mile. The fourth contest in the five race series takes place on Friday, July 10 on the inner oval at the Southern New Jersey complex. Several new competitors are expected to be on hand as they ready their cars for the 40-lap Romp in the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship race on Saturday, September 26. The current point leader, Jimmy Horton, will be looking to extend his slim advantage over his closest rivals. Heading into the fourth race, Horton has a four marker lead over Johnny Cornell and Ron Roberts. Richie Pratt, Jr. is in fourth place in the championship standings and trails Horton by only ten points. For the children in attendance, All County Garage Doors and Vahlco Racing Wheels have teamed up to sponsor a Kid’s Money Scramble. During intermission, children will be able to their line their pockets with coins as they pick them up from the front stretch.
The finale in the Modified 811 Dig Safely Series is set for Friday, July 31. In addition to the crowning of the point champion, all drivers who have competed in every event in the series will have an equal chance to win an outer body kit for a Modified car thorough the marketing partnership of S&D Bodyline.
Plus, the Beach Blast 2 promotional team of Brett Deyo and Eric Kormann has posted a $50 bonus to the top finishing driver who has not competed in any of the four previous Modified 811 Dig Safely events. The Beach Blast 2 race featuring Modifieds, Crate Sportsman, Chargers and Super Trucks will take place on Tuesday, September 1 at the Georgetown Speedway in Delaware.
On Friday, July 10, all gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the first green flag waving at 8:00 p.m. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults while pit admission is $30. In addition to the Modifieds, the wingless 600cc Micro-Sprints, winged 270cc Micro-Sprints and 4-Cylinder Stock Cars will be competing on Bridgeport Speedway’s quarter mile.  The final event in the Modified 811 Dig Safely Series will occur on Friday July 31.
