by Tommy Goudge (June 17, 2015) – Ohsweken, Ontario – Ohsweken Speedway’s 20th season of racing continues this Friday, June 19 when Renway Energy presents “Corr/Pak vs. PST Night”. The Corr/Pak Merchandising 360 Sprint Car division will defend home turf against the Patriot Sprint Tour, while the Strickland’s GMC Crate Sprint Car, Affordable Towing & Recovery Thunder Stock, HRW Automotive Mini Stock, & Gale’s Auto Aftermarket Bomber divisions will also be part of the show.
Past Ohsweken feature winners Jason Barney, Jared Zimbardi, Bryan Howland, and Steve Collins are just a few of the PST invaders expected this Friday. Barney is leading the PST Canada championship standings thanks to a feature win in April’s series opener at Merrittville Speedway, while current Corr/Pak points leader Todd Hoddick is the most recent feature winner at Ohsweken. Several Corr/Pak Merchandising 360 Sprint Car drivers also hold spots in the PST Canada series top 10, including Mitch Brown, Glenn Styres, Jim Huppunen, Cory Turner, Jamie Turner, and Ryan Turner.
An average of 128 drivers have signed in for each of the first three rounds of the 2015 season at Ohsweken, with the five weekly racing series divisions producing close championship standings, and 15 different feature winners. Wall of Fame Night racing will take the green flag at 7:30pm this Friday, June 19. Adult general admission is $15, while seniors and students are $12, kids age 7-12 are $3, and kids age 6 and under are FREE.
