CORR/PAK MERCHANDISING 360 SPRINT CARS (22 entries)
Derek Jonathan took the lead early in the 360 Sprint Car feature, but the race was halted after just one lap when Zach Zumpe careened into the backstretch catchfence after contact with another car. The grinding crash destroyed Zumpe’s race car and resulted in a delay for fence repair, but he was able to walk away.

Jonathan remained up front when the race resumed, with Todd Hoddick close behind for much of the 20 lap distance. Hoddick made several bids for the lead, including a close call in turn 3, but couldn’t overtake Jonathan, who went on to claim the 2nd Ohsweken win of his career – and first since 2011 – by 0.655 seconds. Hoddick settled for the runner-up spot, while Glenn Styres advanced from 7th to finish 3rd, followed by Keith Dempster, and Dane Lorenc. Curtis Gartly finished a career-best 6th, with Chris Steele, Jim Huppunen, Cory Turner, and Ryan Turner rounded out the top 10.

Mitch Brown’s championship chase became much more difficult when his engine went up in smoke during his heat race. Brown entered the evening just 2 points behind points leader Styres, with Hoddick 8 points behind. Hoddick’s team lent the Brown team a spare engine, but they weren’t able to make the call for the B-Feature. Styres’ lead in the championship standings is now 6 points over Hoddick.
