NSL History in the Making Saturday at 34 Raceway!

Windom, MN (April 7, 2015) – The National Sprint League blasts off this Saturday night, April 11 at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa.  The banked 3/8-mile bullring awaits the best sprint car drivers in the Midwest, the country, and indeed the history of the sport!national-sprint-league-1392a85ef856d1ab

No less than three drivers enshrined in the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame will be in attendance.  Twenty-time World of Outlaws champion, Steve Kinser heads that list.  He will be joined by a driver who has won virtually every major sprint car race in the country, Sammy Swindell.  Another former World of Outlaws champion, and four-time Knoxville Nationals champion, Danny Lasoski will also be on hand.

Some of the drivers expected to join that triumvirate include Seven-time Knoxville Raceway champion, Terry McCarl, World Finals champ, Brian Brown, Seven-time and defending IRA champion, Bill Balog, defending Knoxville Raceway champ, Ian Madsen, Nine-time Australian World Series Sprintcars champion, Brooke Tatnell, Two-time USAC National Sprint car and Midget champion and Indy 500 driver, Bryan Clauson, multi-time “King of California” Tim Kaeding, two-time ASCS champion Wayne Johnson, multi-time Huset’s Speedway champion, Mark Dobmeier, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota’s Dusty Zomer as some of the drivers expected to be in attendance.

McCarl, Brown and Kaeding have already won World of Outlaws events this season, and Zomer has picked off a pair of ASCS regional victories.  Kinser and Lasoski both picked up wins at the “Winter Heat” event at Cocopah Speedway in Yuma, Arizona, and Lasoski also won the $6,000 NCRA opener on March 28.  Brown swept last weekend’s “Spring Meltdown” at I-80 Speedway in Nebraska.

Recent 410 winners at 34 Raceway include McCarl and Brown last year with the MOWA series, and Donny Schatz with the World of Outlaws.  McCarl, Balog and Brown completed the top four finishers with the Outlaws last June.  Madsen and Lasoski are also winners in recent years at 34 Raceway.  Last Saturday, four-time and defending MOWA champion, Jerrod Hull picked up a win with the Sprint Invaders in West Burlington.

The staff at 34 Raceway is working hard in preparation for the NSL opener.  There are no advanced pre-sale reserved (top four rows) or general admission tickets available.  They will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.  Grandstand and the ticket office will open at 4 p.m.  The pit gates open at 3 p.m.  Hot laps are scheduled for 6 p.m. with time trials and racing to follow!  For more information, including ticket prices, visit www.34Raceway.com!

Autograph Session with Sammy Swindell
34 Raceway would like to thank Roederers Pit Stop, Rich Adams at Riverview Designs and Mike & Donna Pindell for their help in Sammy’s appearance.  He will be signing autographs by his t-shirt trailer at the main gate from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
