“We had a good first year, a lot of good competition and the racing got better as the year went on. I can’t wait for next year. We’ll have some new blood coming in and hopefully they can give guys like Cicconi and Butler a run for their money”, said series representative Joey Liquori.

The highlight of the 2016 NEWS Sprint Car season had to be when they were the support division for the Amsoil USAC National Sprint Car Tour at New Egypt Speedway in June, an event that attracted a season high 15 cars, which was won by Ryan Godown. The division gained a lot of notoriety that evening in which several of the USAC stars took notice of the division.

The 2017 season will see the exciting division return to the New Egypt Speedway where car counts are expected to increase as the season goes on; also a new title sponsor for the series is in the works. The Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars would like to thank all the drivers and teams that competed throughout the season.
