New Egypt, NJ – With Mother Nature dumping nearly two inches of rain on the New Egypt Speedway from Thursday night through Friday on an already wet racing surface, New Egypt Speedway management has decided to postpone its 2017 Opening Night to Saturday April 8th. The 358 Modifieds, Crate Modifieds, Street Stocks and the Lyons Construction/Metal Fab Rookie Sportsman will all be in action that evening. Oliver Communications Group will again be the presenting sponsor for the evening.
“With the amount of rain that fell and the cold temperatures forecasted for Saturday night, we decided that it was in the best interest of our drivers, teams and fans to postpone opening night for another week”, said New Egypt Speedway’s Joey Liquori.
Pit Gates will open at 3PM, Grandstands gates swing open at 4PM with Hot Laps at 5PM and Racing at 6PM.
Admission to the grandstand is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors 65 and older, $10 for teens 12-15, $10 for military personal and their spouses with ID, and Kids 11 & Under are FREE. Pit admission is $30 with a New Egypt Speedway license and $40 with no license.
