nes_jcella_7723New Egypt, NJ – After seven years at New Egypt Speedway and four as General Manager, Allyse Wolfinger has decided to exit the position.

“After seven great years, this was an incredibly tough decision,” said Wolfinger. “I put my heart and soul into making New Egypt Speedway the best it could be day in and day out. However, after much reflection and consideration I have decided to pursue other career options at this time. I look back on my time at New Egypt with great fondness and enjoyment. I got to live out my life-long dream of working in the racing industry by not only promoting and managing New Egypt, but by managing the 323 race team, conducting interviews and writing for Racersguide, and working the PRI trade show for Vahlco Wheels. I thank Fred (Vahlsing, owner) for giving me these incredible opportunities and continuing to put faith into my work in all aspects of his racing ventures. Thank you to the fans, drivers, sponsors and employees, many of whom have become great friends over the years, for making my seven years at New Egypt a time I will always reflect on with enthusiasm and excitement. I wish nothing but the best for the Speedway, Fred, Joey, Wayne, Jenn, Phil and everyone involved going into the future.”

Wolfinger spearheaded a successful change from Big Block Modifieds to Small Block Modifieds as the headlining division when she first assumed the role of General Manager in 2013. During her tenure as General Manager she successfully brought the World of Outlaw Sprints back to New Egypt, worked with Brett Deyo to bring his Dirty Jersey event to the Speedway, transitioned to the sole promoter of the USAC Eastern Storm event at New Egypt, and took great pride in providing an entertaining night at the races every Saturday by continuing to advance the theme night ideas and making sure there was always something extra for the fans with giveaways.

With the departure of Wolfinger, Vahlsing has established a managerial committee for the 2017 season. The committee will consist of long standing Assistant General Manager Joey Liquori, Pit Steward Wayne Hullfish, and Office Assistant Jennifer Stone. Together the three will manage all aspects of the track as they prepare for the 2017 season.

New Egypt Speedway is located on Route 539 just minutes from Six Flags Great Adventure and the New Jersey Turnpike. A racy 7/16-mile D-shaped dirt oval, New Egypt Speedway serves Garden State race fans with some of the best competition in the country. New Egypt’s state-of-the-art facilities feature daylight-quality lighting and excellent sightlines from any seat in the house. The grandstands are fully wheelchair accessible with wide, clear, and well-groomed walkways. Concession facilities serve up everything from Jersey Burgers to ice cream treats at family-friendly prices.
