Mechanicsburg Pa.- September 29, 2016– Lance Dewease; Dewease beat the World of Outlaws at Williams Grove in May. He beat them again in July. He also has five wins at the Grove this season and 10 overall in 23 races. No wonder he is the favorite this weekend.
Donny Schatz
No driver in the illustrious history of Williams Grove Speedway has won more National Open titles than Schatz. The best driver on the planet owns five Open tallies and 19 WoO wins overall at the speedway.
Stevie Smith
Six weeks ago, I wouldn’t have put Smith in this category. But a lot has changed. Smith and the Fred Rahmer-owned team have found some speed and seem to be back to that winning 2015 form. It also helps that he won the Dirt Classic last week and is the defending National Open champ.
