NARDELLI’S SECOND PLACE FINISH INCREASES HIS POINT LEAD IN THE WINGLESS 600CC MICRO-SPRINT CLASS AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY
Sicklerville, NJ (August 2, 2015) – On Friday, July 31, Lee Nardelli increased his point lead in the wingless 600cc Micro-Sprint class by finishing second in the feature race.
In qualifying action before the main event, Nardelli captured the first heat race after starting the 8-lap contest in third place. Starting in tenth for the 20-lap feature, Nardelli quickly progressed through the field. By the third circuit, he was scored in fourth place. Over the next few circuits, the driver based out of Bridgeton, NJ continued his forward momentum as he reached third place on lap 7. On lap 12, Nardelli worked his way past Rob Vivona for second place and began to close in on Sam Locuson for the top running spot. Nardelli closed the gap in the final circuits but was never able to pass Locuson for the lead. The second place finish allowed him to increase his point lead over Vivona who completed the contest in third. Afterwards, Nardelli spoke about his night with five more point races left in the season. “I missed the setup a bit but I am pretty pleased with the second place finish after starting tenth,” summarized the point leader. Nardelli will be back in his family owned wingless 600cc Micro-Sprint onFriday, August 7 at Bridgeport Speedway.
