New Egypt, NJ – Mother Nature picked up yet another victory on Saturday over the New Egypt Speedway.
Friday night rain along with cloud cover all day hurt the track crew’s chance to get the speedway into a safe race able shape for Saturday night.
“We were hoping that the sun would come out and help dry the track but it never did”, said New Egypt Speedway’s Joey Liquori.
New Egypt Speedway will be back in action next Saturday night August 5th when the Hammer Companies present the mighty 358 Modifieds along with the Hammer Sportsman and the Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars.
Gates will open up at 4PM next Saturday with hot laps scheduled for 6PM and the first heat race is scheduled for 7PM next Saturday night.
New Egypt Speedway is located on Route 539 just minutes from Six Flags Great Adventure and the New Jersey Turnpike. A racy 7/16-mile D-shaped dirt oval, New Egypt Speedway serves Garden State race fans with some of the best competition in the country. New Egypt’s state-of-the-art facilities feature daylight-quality lighting and excellent sightlines from any seat in the house.
