New Egypt, NJ (August 21, 2018) – With the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series (MASS) having three consecutive appearances at New Egypt Speedway rained out and one held over feature still to be contested, officials from both parties worked together to add the popular winged Sprint Car series to Twin Night, presented by the Flemington Car & Truck Country Family of Dealerships, on Saturday, September 1. MASS will be competing in a regular show with a main event plus the held over feature from April 14.
In addition, the Modifieds will be participating in two 20-lap point races. Billy Pauch Jr., the defending Modified champion, is the new point leader following his second place finish in the race contested on August 18. David VanHorn, who had been leading the title chase for several weeks, dropped out of the feature on Saturday, August 18 with a mechanical issue and now trails Pauch by 23 points. Danny Bouc sits in third place in the standings with John McClelland in fourth and Brandon Grosso in fifth. The four-division racing program on Twin Night, where all twins arriving at the track together being admitted to the grandstand at no charge, will be rounded out by the Larry’s Hot Rods & Harley’s Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars and Crate Modifieds.
